Plants
Allotment
Amidst the rows of curly kale and an abundance of pumpkins, you'll find careful colour from cut flowers like dahlias, cosmos, and soft-hued sunflowers cultivated with love and care. My approach is rooted in practices that promote soil health and biodiversity, like no-dig gardening, green manures, and companion planting. The plot is a celebration of nature's harmony, where every plant helps to enrich the soil, support the delicate balance of life, and bring joy through the rhythms of nature.
Floristry
Using flowers grown organically on my allotment, complemented by mindfully foraged foliage, I craft each piece with care and attention to the intricate structures of the plants themselves. Soft hues and carefully chosen colours are at the heart of every design, often blending fresh and dried elements, including seed heads and other seasonal treasures. My work is a reflection of nature's ever-changing rhythms, designed to bring the outside in, with every stem telling its own story.
Garden
Nestled within the tranquil setting of a 17th-century almshouse, landscaped by me with recycled materials, the garden is designed to soften the harshness of existing concrete paths. Delicate florals and lush foliage bring life to every corner, while elements inspired by the British countryside celebrate the changing seasons. From the delicate ferns in the shaded areas to the fragrant elderflowers nodding in the sun, the garden offers an ode to the the hedgerow, meadow and woodland alike.
